Help Feed Local Families

$100,000 distributed to strengthen food access

United Way of the Midlands is pleased to partner with Mayor John Ewing, the City of Omaha and other community partners to support our neighbors affected by uncertainty around SNAP benefits. This community response to a challenge many of our neighbors are facing will help stabilize families who are already struggling to make ends meet – due to rising costs, fewer resources and local programs seeing record-high demand for assistance.

In the midst of uncertainty, your generosity can make a meaningful difference.

Many families are facing unknowns and local nonprofits continue to see increased demand for food assistance and essential support.

By joining us today, your gift will support United Way of the Midlands’ trusted food-security partners—with 100% of donations going directly to help individuals and families access the food they need.

In moments like these, United Way and our partners are here to provide steadiness, care and connection.

Since launching this campaign, we’ve seen the caring spirit and generosity of our community come to life

$100,000 has been raised, including a generous contribution from Applied Underwriters and Paul and Annette Smith. We're not done yet. The impact continues through a round-up partnership with Goodwill this month.

Ensuring Good Food Reaches People in Need

These organizations represent a strategic mix of pantry services, mobile distribution and food recovery, helping meet immediate needs and strengthen food security across our community.

your strategic partner for local impact

This support comes at a critical time as local nonprofits continue to see record demand for food assistance and essential needs. United Way and our partners are listening closely,  using real-time data and community insights to ensure resources reach where they are needed most.

Together, we’re showing what’s possible when compassion meets action — helping families regain stability and hope this holiday season.
