Thank you for helping local students shine by improvING their health, academics and confidence!

thank you!

We would like to extend a special “THANK YOU” for making our Shine Bright event a huge success!

On July 28-31, the Mid-America Center was filled with excitement, joy, smiles, great energy and a lot of heart. Every child deserves to come to school feeling confident and ready to learn, but for so many this is not possible.

Many students across the metro are lacking essential hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, clean clothes and dental products — impacting their health, learning and confidence.

Making an impact for students this school year

“A student came to school with matted hair and has not washed in over a week.

We helped her wash her hair and brush it out and she left and was smiling ear to ear saying how beautiful she felt.”

Get involved

You can dramatically change a child’s life when you support Shine Bright.

When a child is lacking essential hygiene items – it can be hard for them to focus on anything else. Helping students get access to the resources they lack allows them to build a better and brighter future for themselves and our community.

GIVE A SHINE BRIGHT KIT

By purchasing a Shine Bright Kit for $40, you are helping provide for the essential needs of local students, ensuring they have a positive experience this school year.

Volunteer at Day of Caring

Day of Caring is a single day of service where individual volunteers and volunteer teams spend their day making a difference at local nonprofits to fulfill a variety of needs – from painting, meal service and yard work to everything in between.
