Thousands of people across multiple states are now in need of assistance as Hurricane Helene has displaced families, destroyed homes and devastated communities.
To meet the wide range of needs, United Way Worldwide (UWW) has established the Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to direct resources to the United Ways who are working on the front lines. These organizations will be doing the work and providing the assistance that’s needed now and also in the coming months as recovery and rebuilding efforts continue.
If you are wanting to help our friends impacted by Hurricane Helene, we encourage you to donate to this fund.
United Way of the Midlands (UWM) is also always ready to step up and serve when our local community needs us most – mobilizing resources so families and neighborhoods can rebuild and recover following a natural disaster – like the tornadoes that hit our area on April 26 and the wind storm on July 31.
That’s why we established the UWM Natural Disaster Relief Fund. Through this fund, resources will be immediately available when the next natural disaster occurs in our region. And by combining immediate support with long-term investments, we will create a robust foundation for individuals and families to rebuild and thrive.
