National Volunteer week

April 21 - 27

Established by Presidential Proclamation in 1974, National Volunteer Week continues to be widely observed and celebrated by communities of all sizes. Each year during the month of April, National Volunteer Week celebrates the impact of volunteer efforts and the power of community. From April 21-27, please join United Way of the Midlands in recognition of exceptional volunteer efforts from the last year and service provided to our community partners.

United Way of the Midlands offers a variety of service opportunities to support the community and make an impact. Whether you are looking to volunteer as a team or individual, we have projects to suit your passions, fit your schedule and support the community’s most pressing needs. From our community-wide volunteer events throughout the year, to corporate engagement activities – volunteers play an essential role to serve and strengthen our community.

Thank you for sharing your time and expertise to make a difference!

BY SHARING YOUR TIME AND TALENTS, YOU CAN TOUCH SOMEONE’S LIFE IN A TRULY POWERFUL WAY.

A can of food on a pantry shelf. 30 minutes spent reading with a student. A fresh layer of paint in a shelter. These may seem like small acts of kindness, but they make a world of a difference for individuals in need. You can offer the hope and dignity that helps someone build a better life for their family today.
