Resources to showcase your caring spirit and commitment to our community.

Celebrated the third full week of April, National Volunteer Week was created by Presidential Proclamation in 1974 to recognize volunteer impact and engage volunteers in service.

In celebration of National Volunteer Week, United Way of the Midlands (UWM) is working with its corporate partners to provide their employees with an opportunity to give back by participating in a custom Good on the Go event at their workplace.

How to share your story

This toolkit includes graphics, copy and social media tips so you can share your story, inspire others to give back and help raise awareness for the causes that you care about.

Social Media is a powerful way to celebrate your impact and spread awareness for the causes you care about the most. You can inspire others to get involved by sharing your story about volunteering with your community.

One of the best parts of where I work is seeing our team come together to serve others. Proud to volunteer today through United Way of the Midlands.

BY SHARING YOUR TIME AND TALENTS, YOU CAN TOUCH SOMEONE’S LIFE IN A TRULY POWERFUL WAY.

A can of food on a pantry shelf. 30 minutes spent reading with a student. A fresh layer of paint in a shelter. These may seem like small acts of kindness, but they make a world of a difference for individuals in need. You can offer the hope and dignity that helps someone build a better life for their family today.
