On Saturday, May 11, 2024, letter carriers across the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro collected food donations from postal customers.
Nearly 170,000 pounds of food collected = Providing more than 204,000 meals for those in need
Donations benefitted six local nonprofits - Heartland Family Service, Project Reset, Salvation Army, Siena Francis, Stephen Center and St. Vincent de Paul
Nearly 200,000 bags were distributed by letter carriers to collect food
