On Saturday, May 11, 2024, letter carriers across the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro collected food donations from postal customers.

  • Nearly 170,000 pounds of food collected = Providing more than 204,000 meals for those in need
  • Donations benefitted six local nonprofits
    - Heartland Family Service, Project Reset, Salvation Army, Siena Francis, Stephen Center and St. Vincent de Paul
  • Nearly 200,000 bags were distributed by letter carriers to collect food
  • We are grateful to be partnering with the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 5, Teamsters Local 554, Laborers Local 1140, Building Omaha, the United States Postal Service, Penske and the Omaha Federation of Labor.
