On Saturday, May 9, 2026, letter carriers across the Omaha metro collected food donations from postal customers
More than 158,000 pounds of food collected providing more than 131,000 meals for those in need
Donations benefited six local nonprofits - Heartland Family Service, Heartland Hope Mission, Salvation Army, Siena Francis, Stephen Center and St. Vincent de Paul
Nearly 200,000 bags were distributed by letter carriers to collect food
