United Way of the Midlands (UWM) will host its 2023 Annual Meeting and luncheon this Friday, October 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Omaha, 1001 Cass Street.
During the event, UWM will celebrate 100 years of helping others and share the impact donor investments and volunteer efforts are making in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro.
Nine area organizations will also be recognized for their generous support during the 2022-23 campaign with the Campaign Partner of the Year Awards, and Henry Davis will be honored as United Way of the Midlands’ 2023 Citizen of the Year.
“Our Annual Meeting is the perfect setting to celebrate the many organizations and individuals who support our campaigns – allowing us to do the work we do and help those who need it most,” said Shawna Forsberg, president and CEO, United Way of the Midlands. “We are truly grateful for the caring spirit that runs deep in our community, and it’s our honor to recognize those who have gone above and beyond to make a difference for thousands of individuals in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro.”
