As part of Global Volunteer Month, United Way of the Midlands (UWM) will host its inaugural Volunteer Appreciation Awards Luncheon on Thursday, April 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Venue at the Highlander, 2120 N. 30th Street, Omaha, NE.
The event will honor outstanding community volunteers whose thoughtful leadership and hard work play a significant role in strengthening our community. Through their dedicated efforts and spirit of service, these individuals make a difference across the metro and inspire others to do the same.
Eight individuals will be recognized during the event, with awards presented by UWM Board Chair Chanda Chacón, president and CEO, Children’s Nebraska:
“We are so grateful for these volunteers who so generously give their time to help others,” said Shawna Forsberg, president and CEO, UWM. “These individuals bring their caring spirit to the community and create ripples of good across the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro.”
The event is possible thanks to presenting sponsors: WoodmenLife, Fiserv and Koley Jessen and community sponsors: Ag Processing Inc., Conagra Brands, Omaha Public Power District and FNBO.
