United Way of the Midlands (UWM) will host its 2026 Annual Meeting – A Celebration of Community on Monday, October 19, at the CHI Health Center, 455 N. 10th Street, Omaha. The event will kick off with a coffee and networking time from 11 – 11:30 a.m., followed by the formal program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During the event, UWM will highlight the impact we’re making together and recognize the corporate partners and individuals whose exceptional commitment and care help strengthen the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro.
Nine area organizations will be recognized for their generous support during the FY 2026 campaign with the Campaign Partner Awards, and the Hamann family will be honored as United Way of the Midlands’ 2026 Citizens of the Year.
The event is possible thanks to presenting sponsor Fiserv and supporting sponsors American National Bank, Conagra Brands, Deloitte, Google, HDR, Jack & Stephanie Koraleski, Lindsay, Metropolitan Utilities District, Northern Natural Gas and Robert & Polina Schlott.
“Our Annual Meeting is a celebration of the many donors, volunteers, organizations and individuals who generously support United Way and our community – building more paths to opportunity and creating a stronger, more resilient metro,” said Shawna Forsberg, president and CEO, United Way of the Midlands. “The day is about celebrating collaboration as we know more progress happens when we work together.”
