As Mental Health Awareness Month, May is a time to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
We can all think of someone who has been faced with mental health or substance use challenges. It can be daunting to reach out when you don’t know how to best support them. But don’t you wish you had tools to help?
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that takes the fear and hesitation out of starting conversations about mental health.
As friends, coworkers, neighbors or family, we all want to support the people in our lives and make our community as resilient as possible. This is how we start.
Join us at our upcoming events to learn more about how YOU are making a difference in our community. Your involvement helps us provide support to neighbors in our community who need it the most. We hold a wide range of events, trainings, leadership programs and other events throughout the year.
By sharing your time and talents, you can touch someone’s life in a truly powerful way. Our volunteer opportunities promote the spirit and value of volunteerism, increase awareness of local issues and demonstrate what people working together can accomplish. Make a difference and make someone’s day brighter by sharing your time today.
When you make a gift to United Way of the Midlands, you create lasting change right here in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro. By bringing people and organizations together, we form a Circle of Support that helps our neighbors in need overcome difficult challenges and build a better future. No matter the size of your gift, it can make a difference and build a stronger tomorrow for our community.
We are so grateful to Rob and Stacie Reed, and the Physicians Mutual team, for stepping up and supporting our 2023-2024 campaign!
