Shine Bright – United Way of the Midlands

Helping local students regain their confidence and shine bright, achieving more in school and beyond

every child deserves to feel confident and ready to learn at school...

However, for many this is not the case. Thousands of local students across the metro are lacking essential hygiene items like soap, shampoo, conditioner, clean clothes and dental products, which impact their health, academics and confidence. You can help these children by participating in Shine Bright.

What is Shine Bright?

To protect the privacy of students, kits will be discreetly distributed by social workers, school counselors and school nurses who have identified children in need of these items.

YOU can help thousands of local Kindergarten, Middle and High School students who are lacking essential hygiene items regain their confidence and shine bright, achieving more in school and beyond. Shine Bright is a fundraiser in partnership with Omaha, Papillion La Vista, and Council Bluffs Public Schools, in addition to partnering with JAG Nebraska, where Shine Bright kits will be provided to local students who need them most. A Shine Bright kit contains all the items kids need to feel good and succeed in the classroom and in life!

Loofah
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
211 Helpline Materials

* Both natural and straight hair products will be provided.
