New Year, New Space for UWM

United Way of the Midlands is excited to announce we have moved to a new location! Our offices are now located in the Ashton Building at 1229 Millwork Ave., Suite 402, Omaha, NE.

UWM was made aware of this unique opportunity to sublet a space from WP Engine in the up-and-coming Millwork Commons area – and as a nonprofit – it was beneficial to us as they graciously offered us an in-kind contribution toward our rent, all of the existing furniture and technology currently in the space and there will be minimal buildout required to make the space compatible for our operations.

This move will give us additional space to grow staff to support programs – such as JAG Nebraska and 211 – and keep doing the work we do while maintaining a collaborative, engaging and supportive environment. It will also provide space that other nonprofits can leverage for meetings and events that is welcoming to all guests.

There are many partners who donated in full or offered significantly reduced pricing to make this move possible, and we’d like to thank them for their support:
  • WP Engine
  • HDR
  • JE Dunn
  • Lamson, Dugan & Murray LLP
  • Integrated MSP
  • AOI

In addition, we secured support for our Good on the Go program and volunteer work, thanks to our partners at Interstate Printing.

UWM IS ALSO HUMBLED TO HAVE THE SUPPORT AND LEADERSHIP OF ITS AMAZING BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND WE’D SPECIFICALLY LIKE TO THANK THE MEMBERS OF OUR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE FOR THEIR WORK ON THIS PROJECT:

Brian Woolfolk

EVP, Head of Institutional Division, Pacific Life Insurance

Chanda Chacon

President & Chief Executive Officer, Children’s Nebraska

Derek Leathers

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Werner Enterprises

Chris Leitner

We are grateful to the Federal Reserve Bank for housing UWM for the past eight years, as they were gracious partners and very flexible in working with us on this move. Ultimately, moving to this new location will allow UWM to manage our costs, continue to do the important work we’re doing and keep building a stronger tomorrow for our community.
You're invited to join United Way of the Midlands to Celebrate our New Location at a Special Ribbon Cutting

Please join United Way of the Midlands as we cut the ribbon on our new location in Millwork Commons, introduce our new Strategic Plan and say thank you to everyone who made this ALL POSSIBLE.
