Good Deeds: Golf benefit raises $228,366 for Make-A-Wish; 300 volunteer during Day of Action

United Way of the Midlands: More than 300 people volunteered with United Way of the Midlands during the third annual Day of Action on June 21. Day of Action is a volunteer service day focused on childhood literacy, and volunteers serve as “reading buddies” for 500 children in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area. Each child received a literacy kit, provided by Sojern Gives Back, which included three books, reading activities and information about summer reading programs. READ MORE
