Attendance conference looks at chronic absenteeism
Hundreds of educators and community members gathered for the Attendance Matters Conference Thursday at the Mid-America Center.
The event was part of an attendance awareness campaign led by United Way of the Midlands and the School Based Attendance Coalition and spawned by the recognition that attendance affects academic achievement.
