Our Super Heroic Internal Campaign

UWM employees contribute more than $53,000, reaching internal fundraising goal

It’s easy to talk the talk, but walking the walk can prove a much more difficult task. We are so thankful to be a part of a 44-person team where every single person contributes beyond their day-to-day work to United Way of the Midlands’ mission: to impact poverty by focusing the efforts of many to help our neighbors stand strong.

We get up and go to work every day because we want to make a difference in our community and help others. Some days are long and hard, but they are all working towards those days where we help our town change someone’s life for the better.

Someone has a safe place to stay tonight. Someone is going to be the first to graduate in their family. Someone is getting the help they need to be financially stable.

While we are supporting other companies in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro to put on campaigns for UWM, our office puts on our very own fundraiser to raise money for local programs. Our internal campaign serves as a reminder that we are not just employees – we are also donors, volunteers and advocates for our work.

While the most action-packed week of our superhero-themed campaign is through, we will continue to put on special internal fundraising events throughout 2018. Pumpkin carving competition and chili cookoff – here we come!
