Hundreds of volunteers will be rolling up their sleeves and getting to work on behalf of area nonprofit organizations on September 20th – United Way of the Midlands’ (UWM) 18th annual “Day of Caring.” This event is UWM’s biggest annual day of volunteer service, engaging corporate teams and individuals from across the metro area.
UWM aims to have approximately 1,000 volunteers helping at more than 45 local nonprofit organizations throughout the day. Projects can range from organizing, cleaning and painting at local nonprofit sites to helping metro area students with their homework and job interviewing skills.
