Learn how your purchases through Amazon Smile can help benefit your neighbors in need
Amazon Smile was founded in 2013. The site has the same functions as the Amazon site but gives 0.5% of your purchase back to charity through the Amazon Smile Foundation. To date, Amazon Smile has given $236 million back to charity. Specifically, they have given over $1,000 back to United Way of the Midlands. In wrapping a Circle of Support around our neighbors every bit counts. Below are directions to make sure United Way of the Midlands is your charity of choice through Amazon Smile.
1.) Log on to the Amazon Smile site. To log on use your Amazon account information.
2.) You will then be directed to choose your charity page. Type “United Way of the Midlands” into the search bar and hit enter.
3.) United Way of the Midlands will then pop up and click the select button.
4.) Click the box that says “Yes” and then click “Start shopping”.
After completing these steps, you are done! United Way of the Midlands is officially your Amazon Smile charity of choice. This one small gesture can help create a positive lasting impact on our neighbors in need.
