Jewish Family Service Serves 165 Clients through Therapy Program in 2017-18

The Jewish Family Service (www.jewishomaha.org) provides many services to community members both inside and outside the Jewish Community. During the 2017-18 fiscal year, their small agency served 165 clients in their therapy program, through 1,316 therapy sessions, regardless of religious affiliation, and with financial support from the United Way of the Midlands. Fifty parents/guardians, both Jewish and non-Jewish, attended Parenting the Love and Logic Way®, a course created by Jim Fay, Charles Fay, Ph.D., and Foster Cline, MD, and presented by Jewish Family Service & Woodhaven Counseling Associates. Ten families were served in their adoption program, which offers home-study and post-placement services regardless of religious affiliation. Forty mental health professionals attended Jewish Family Service’s bi-yearly Ethics Workshop, which is open to any professional in Omaha and surrounding areas.
