KETV’s Giving Wednesday is proud to partner with United Way of the Midlands as they kick off their one hundredth year helping others. The United Way started in 1923 when local citizens and business leaders banded together for a common need, helping those in our community that are struggling to make ends meet.

Giving Wednesday is moving to Jan. 25 due to Wednesday’s expected winter weather.

  • United Way of the Midlands hopes to raise funds to help those in the metro who are struggling to make ends meet by providing healthy food, a safe place to live, necessary health care, educational supports, diapers, career training and SO much more!
  • Right now, one in three people in the metro area is struggling to take care of their family, and the demand on nonprofit organizations is growing every day.
  • With the community’s belief and trust in what we do, we create a “Circle of Support” that allows UWM to help our neighbors overcome difficult challenges – such as the pandemic and rising inflation – and start building a better future for themselves and their families.

Your donation can have 2X the impact. Watch for dollar-for-dollar matching donation opportunities throughout the day on Wednesday from Meta, Farm Credit Services of America, NP Dodge and Lincoln Financial Group.
