TOMORROW – Blue Collar Boxing Fighter Weigh-in Event at the Flight Deck

Who: Fighters representing 13 local labor unions will weigh in for the Blue Collar Boxing event scheduled
for Wednesday, November 22, at Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston.
What: During Blue Collar Boxing, 26 local union members will face off in the boxing ring for charity. For

Why: The relationship between the Omaha Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO and United Way of the Midlands
(UWM) is built upon a mutual desire to create a better, stronger and more vibrant community.
Partners since 1941, it’s that shared commitment to our community that led to the creation of this
amateur boxing event in 2019. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be
donated to the Nebraska Center for Workforce Development and Education and United Way,
empowering both organizations to strengthen our local community.
