Union Pacific Awards $5.9 Million to Build Safe, Vibrant and Prosperous Communities

OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ –Union Pacific’s Community Ties Giving Program awarded nearly $5.9 million in 2018 local grants to roughly 600 nonprofit organizations throughout its 23-state system. Local grants provide small and medium-sized grants within the railroad’s priority cause areas: Safety, Workforce Development and Community Spaces. A small portion of funding is allocated to other local community needs.
