Join the #GiveFromTheHeart Challenge

With COVID-19 taking over headlines, we’re all craving stories that show the power of the human spirit and amazing things people are willing to do to help each other.

Making masks for responders, picking up groceries for an elderly neighbor, leaving hopeful messages in front yards and windows – we’ve all seen how our community finds creative and meaningful ways to connect and support each other. During tough times we often see the most vibrant examples of how people give from the heart, and it’s those stories that give us hope that everything will be ok.

The #GiveFromtheHeart challenge encourages community members like YOU to share stories of those who truly do give from the heart. With your support, we can flood social media, email inboxes and more with positivity and hope throughout the month of May. Join us by sharing your #GiveFromtheHeart story today!

Gifts made to United Way of the Midlands during Omaha Gives! will support more than 100 nonprofit programs across the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro that provide Basic Needs, Education and Financial Stability support.

Every dollar up to the first $15,000 will be graciously matched by our community partner, Wells Fargo!

Due to COVID-19’s impact on work, school and the economy, more families than ever need our help to get back on their feet.  Faced with fewer volunteers, higher demand and limited funds, nonprofits are struggling to keep up – and they can’t meet people’s many needs alone. That’s why this Omaha Gives! we’re asking YOU to #GiveFromtheHeart and help your neighbors build a better life.

Omaha Gives! is a year-round online giving platform organized by the Omaha Community Foundation to grow philanthropy in Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie counties. Each year, a 24-hour online giving event in May celebrates participating nonprofits

The goal of Omaha Gives! is to inspire our community to come together for 24-hours to give as much as possible to support the work of public 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the metro area. The minimum donation is $1 and there is no maximum.
