JOIN FELLOW MEMBERS OF THE OMAHA COMMUNITY TO COMMEMORATE AND CELEBRATE THE WORK AND LIFE OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. ON MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2024. THIS ALL-DAY EVENT BRINGS TOGETHER INDIVIDUALS FROM ACROSS THE OMAHA-COUNCIL BLUFFS METRO TO CELEBRATE THE WORK OF DR. KING, NETWORK AND CREATE CONNECTIONS TO MAKE GREAT THINGS HAPPEN. EACH EVENT WILL BE FREE TO ALL ATTENDEES THANKS TO THE GENEROSITY OF OUR SPONSORS.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

LOCATION: THE VENUE AT THE HIGHLANDER – 2120 N. 30TH STREET, OMAHA NE

8:00 – 11:00 AM – 6th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast

Celebrating the spirit of coming together to make our community stronger, the program is provided in collaboration with Metropolitan Community College, Partnership 4 Kids, Together, No More Empty Pots, UNMC/Nebraska Medicine, 75 North and United Way of the Midlands.

Admission = free will donation or non-perishable food donation

Noon – 1:30 PM – 2nd Annual MLK Day Luncheon

2:00 – 4:00 PM – MLK Day Volunteer Event

Through United Way of the Midlands’ Good on the Go initiative, volunteers will take part in our largest kit build to date by assembling 2,000 snack pack kits to support Together.

Provided by United Way’s Good on the Go program.

4:00 – 6:00 PM – MLK Day Networking Happy Hour

Community members come together to network and build connections.  Join fellow professionals and community members for a special networking event.

A cash bar will be available – featuring a uniquely curated drink and food menu – with a DJ providing music throughout the event.
