TOMORROW – Labor Union Members to Face Off During Blue Collar Boxing Charity Event


Who: The Omaha Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO and United Way of the Midlands will host their annual Blue Collar Boxing event TOMORROW, November 23, at Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston.

What: During Blue Collar Boxing, nearly 30 local union members – representing 12 different labor unions – will face off in the boxing ring.

Why: The relationship between the AFL-CIO and United Way is built upon a mutual desire to create a better, stronger and more vibrant community. Partners since 1941, it’s that shared commitment that led to the creation of this amateur boxing event in 2019. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Nebraska Center for Workforce Development and Education and United Way of the Midlands, empowering both organizations to strengthen our local community.

When: 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.)
